HSSC Constable Recruitment 2026:

Overview

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released Advertisement No. 01/2026 for the recruitment of 5500 Constables in the Haryana Police Department. This recruitment is conducted under CET Phase-II and is open to CET Group-C qualified candidates.

Both male and female candidates can apply for the posts of Constable (General Duty) and Male Constable (GRP). Selected candidates will get a permanent government job with a starting salary of ₹21,700 per month.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board
• Hindi or Sanskrit must be a subject at Matric level
• Must be CET Group-C qualified

• General Category: 18 to 25 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • 5 years for SC / BC / EWS (Haryana candidates)
    
  • As per rules for Ex-Servicemen

Physical Measurement Standards (PMT)

• Male Candidates:
  • Height: 170 cm (General), 168 cm (Reserved)
    
  • Chest: 83–87 cm (General), 81–85 cm (Reserved)
    
• Female Candidates:
  • Height: 158 cm (General), 156 cm (Reserved)

Salary and Benefits

• Basic Pay: ₹21,700 per month
• Pay Scale: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100

Selection Process

The selection process includes the following stages:

1. Shortlisting through CET Score
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) – Qualifying
3. Physical Screening Test (PST) – Qualifying
4. Knowledge Test (97 Marks)
5. Additional Weightage for NCC (3 Marks)

Physical Screening Test (PST)

• Male: 2.5 km run in 12 minutes
• Female: 1.0 km run in 6 minutes
• Ex-Servicemen: 1.0 km run in 5 minutes

Knowledge Test Details

• Offline OMR-based exam

• No negative marking for wrong answers
• 0.97 marks deducted for unattempted questions
